Variety Playhouse: Atlanta's Premier Concert Destination

There is no room in Atlanta quite like Variety Playhouse. Nestled in the heart of Little Five Points — the city's most eclectic, creatively charged neighborhood — this historic venue has been the anchor of Atlanta's independent music scene for decades. Originally built as a neighborhood movie theater in 1939, Variety Playhouse was reimagined as a live music hall and has since become the gold standard for mid-size concert experiences in the Southeast.

The venue holds approximately 1,000 guests, a capacity that strikes the perfect balance between intimacy and energy. There is no bad sightline, no distant balcony that makes the artist feel remote. When you are inside Variety Playhouse, you are in the show. The room's warm acoustics, storied brick walls, and attentive staff create an atmosphere that national touring acts consistently call one of their favorite stops on any tour.

Little Five Points itself adds another layer to the experience. The neighborhood is walkable, vibrant, and lined with independent restaurants, bars, and shops that make a Variety Playhouse show a full evening out in Atlanta. For fans traveling from across the city, MARTA's Inman Park/Reynoldstown station on the Blue and Green lines sits within comfortable walking distance, making the commute simple and the parking stress nonexistent. This is Atlanta live music at its most authentic.
